The X27 and PG27UQ aren't worth the money to me, so although 60Hz is a bit of a bummer, I've always ever used 60Hz anyway. IPS backlight bleed spooks me but it doesn't seem like there's many good flat 4K HDR VA panels out there are far as I know. I don't want to just get a regular 2k 144hz monitor personally because that doesn't feel very futureproof or worth the money.įor 4k, the LG 27UK650-W seems to have the same panel as the 27UK850-W? It seems like a good IPS panel with decent HDR. Due to possible video/photo pursuits, I've read to stay away from curved monitors, which crossed curved ultrawides off my list (unless I've been misled?), and flat ultrawides seem weird to me (although I've never looked at one). Mostly for video editing and (mostly casual) gaming, although a gaming monitor is likely my preference. my current is a BenQ GW2750, so I'm looking forward to an upgrade. I've been doing a TON of research for a monitor for myself.
